International expertise. Local knowledge.

Building Uganda’s Future

Santana Construction Uganda is a Jinja-based construction, architecture, engineering and project-management company delivering building, civil infrastructure and renewable-energy projects across Uganda and East Africa.

About Santana Construction Uganda

We combine strong local execution capability with international technical expertise and extensive experience managing construction projects across Africa. Our approach is straightforward: understand the project, find practical solutions and deliver on the ground.

We work with private developers, businesses, international contractors, EPC companies, NGOs, institutions and public-sector clients. From complete project execution to local subcontracting, construction management, architecture, civil works and specialist solar construction, we provide the technical knowledge and local resources required from concept to completion.

Our Vision

A trusted East African partner

To become one of East Africa’s most trusted construction and engineering partners, connecting international expertise with strong local capability to deliver projects that create lasting value for communities, businesses and future generations.

We envision a more sustainable Africa where quality infrastructure, renewable energy and thoughtful design are accessible, reliable and built to last.

Our Mission

Turn ideas into successful projects

We combine international project experience, architectural and engineering expertise, and deep knowledge of the Ugandan construction environment to deliver reliable, practical and sustainable solutions.

From buildings and civil works to solar infrastructure and specialist construction services, we work alongside private clients, international contractors, developers, NGOs and institutions.

Build with quality, work with integrity, and leave a positive impact long after completion.

Meet Our Founder

Architecture, construction and African project delivery

Santana Construction is led by Carles Ramada Santana, a Spanish Architect, Construction Manager and Company Director based in Uganda since 2015.

Qualified as an Architect in Spain in 2008, with a Master’s degree in Architecture and Sustainability and a professional architectural background in Spain, his experience connects architectural design, building construction, civil works, project management and utility-scale renewable-energy infrastructure.

He also lectured in Architecture and the Built Environment at Kyambogo University, strengthening his connection to Uganda’s architectural and construction sector.

As Director of Santana Construction Uganda and Director / Construction Manager with BayTex East Africa, he has contributed to work in Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, DRC, Mali and other African markets. Santana remains a company supported by an experienced technical and construction team, not a one-person consultancy.

That experience—from individual buildings to solar developments approaching 100 MW—shapes Santana’s operating principle: international standards combined with practical knowledge of African construction conditions.
